Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e Review

While Samsung is currently the world’s number one smartphone manufacturer, an important part of its product portfolio is the tablet market, which the South Korean still sees as a priority in the long term.

And truth be told, this just seems to be the correct approach. While I do think that tablets represent a pretty saturated business, the competition here is still quite fierce, especially as Samsung and Apple seem to go head-to-head when it comes to refined designs and improved features.

But one of the things that Samsung has been trying to do, and Apple hasn’t been, is building more affordable devices specifically targeting customers that aren’t willing to spend a fortune on a tablet.

And this is something that I consider to be a critical part of the strategy overall if these companies want to go after customers like me who might find tablets redundant, especially as phones themselves also increase in size and now come with larger displays. These people aren’t n... (read more)

Dodocool DA163 USB Gaming Headset Review

If you’re in the market looking for affordable gaming headphones, your only option is to check out the offering of Chinese manufacturers, as top-rated brands typically sell such gear for more than the majority of people are willing to spend. While there was a time when Chinese companies were all about copying the products launched by more high-profile brands across the world, there are now a few names that are trying to conquer international markets with their own products based on a more or less successful mix of low price and high quality. Dodocool is one of the firms that are trying to do this, though judging from the price tag of their products, you might think otherwise. In many cases, a low price is considered an indicator of questionable quality, so when hearing about a gaming headset that costs $35 , you really can’t expect more. The read more )

Chuwi Hi9 Android Gaming Tablet Review - Nope

Chinese device manufacturer Chuwi has already impressed in the 2-in-1 form factor business with devices that run Windows, Android, or both, and now the company is looking to expand into an unexplored side of the market that typically requires more than just an affordable mix of hardware and software. Chuwi stepping into the gaming industry is a rather risky bet, especially because this would involve investing more aggressively in powerful hardware capable of running more demanding tasks. But the company hopes to achieve a high customer satisfaction rate with the same recipe as before, once again going for more or less modest technical specifications paired with Android. The Chuwi Hi9, which is marketed as an Android gaming tablet, is the company’s first step towards becoming a gaming hardware manufacturer, despite the spec sheet that’s not necessarily breathtaking at first glance. [ORIGIMG=2] In terms of design, the Hi9 is barely impressive. The 8.4-inch tablet ... ( read mor...

TicWatch C2 Review

If you’re new to the smartwatch market, TicWatch is one of those brands that do not cost a fortune, but on the other hand, provide customers with a pretty appealing feature package that you normally find on a  premium device. Typically, a mix of advanced features and affordable pricing is something that you most often find on Chinese products, and this is exactly the case here too. TicWatch is made by Mobvoi, a Chinese company that develops AI technology and voice recognition systems, all of which are based on the know-how of experts who previously worked for tech giants like Google and Nokia. Mobvoi has rapidly evolved from a single-watch brand to a company that has a rich portfolio of products, and the TicWatch C2 is part of the firm’s offensive in the modern wearable market. It’s not supposed to be an Apple Watch killer, as this has more or less become the norm in the smartwatch market, but a p... ( read more )
